Pictures Show Perry Physically Intimidating Ron Paul

Alex Jones Comment: Ron Paul’s campaign needs to make a public statement on this incident. Perry’s thuggish behavior is identical to how he confronted me in a Mexican restaurant several years ago.

Pictures taken during a commercial break in last night’s GOP debate at the Reagan Presidential Library document how Texas Governor Rick Perry attempted to physically intimidate Congressman Ron Paul, prompting Paul’s security to intervene.

Photographs published by the AP and Reuters show a stern looking Perry holding Paul’s wrist and waving a finger in his face.

Reports by Fox News and International Business Times state that during the break Perry “walked up to Paul’s podium, physically grabbed Paul’s wrist, and pointed at Paul’s face with his other hand.”

A third man, said to be Paul’s security guard, is seen approaching the podium in the picture.

Another photo shows Perry with arms outstretched, leaning in towards Paul engaging in what may be considered lively conversation to say the least. Some Paul supporters have suggested that the shot shows that Perry physically forced Paul away from his own podium during the commercial.

The two candidates were situated directly next to each other during the firey televised debate.

Before the exchange took place, Paul and Perry locked horns in a sharp exchange of words, with the Congressman calling out Perry on his support for ‘HillaryCare’ and his issuance of an executive order to forcibly vaccinate 12-year-old girls against HPV.

Ron Paul’s latest campaign ad, which ran during the debate commercials, also targeted Perry, exposing his previous record as a Democrat and his intimate links to Al Gore’s 1988 Presidential campaign.

The images clearly indicate that Perry tried to physically intimidate the Congressman. The two campaigns have been asked to clarify what actually occurred during the exchange.

Ron Paul Interview On Fox News Sunday: Talks Fema, Libya, Mises & More

08/28/2011

GOP presidential candidate Representative Ron Paul (R-TX) joined “Fox News Sunday” to discuss his rise in the polls and what he attributes his success so far this cycle to.

The most recent Gallup poll of Republican presidential candidates has the congressman in third place, behind Rick Perry and Mitt Romney, but ahead of Michele Bachmann and all the other candidates.

Paul, who is making his third run for the presidency, said the good poll numbers are a sign that his ideas are gaining traction.

What has been "unconventional," Paul said, has been government`s actions over the past several years “in regards to our Constitution.”

He is “in it to win” Paul says of his candidacy. And, if elected president, he would reduce the power of the federal government to return it, as he sees it, to its proper Constitutional role.

A follower of the Austrian school of economics, Paul described his prescription for a healthy economy as, “hands off, free markets, sound money.”

GALLUP: FRONTRUNNER PAUL IN DEAD HEAT WITH OBAMA

08/22/2011

Ron Paul is arguably the most conservative Republican to ever run for president. Paul’s limited government principles cannot be swayed and his long and consistent record is a testament to his unique integrity.

Many people believe that such a thorough constitutionalist is far too pure to ever become president. Gallup says they’re wrong:

“President Barack Obama is closely matched against each of four possible Republican opponents when registered voters are asked whom they would support if the 2012 presidential election were held today. Mitt Romney leads Obama by two percentage points, 48% to 46%, Rick Perry and Obama are tied at 47%, and Obama edges out Ron Paul and Michele Bachmann by two and four points, respectively.”

Among registered voters, Paul receives 45% to Obama’s 47%. Among national adults, Paul gets 44% to Obama’s 45%. These numbers essentially show statistical dead heats between President Obama and Paul, and the same is true of the other Republican candidates mentioned.

Paul, Perry, Romney and Bachmann are now the 2012 GOP presidential frontrunners according to virtually every conventional standard that has been applied in every modern election—national surveys like Gallup, fundraising ability and campaign performances at events like the Iowa Straw Poll.

The real story here is that Ron Paul is winning—whether the establishment likes it or not.
